Innovation Sandbox Contest promotes new approaches to information security technology, provides advice and counsel for entrepreneurs, and exposes the RSA Conference community to venture capitalists, industry experts, senior level business practitioners and thought leaders.

“Success awaits those that are named to the top 10 finalists for RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox Contest,” said Sandra Toms, vice president and curator for RSA Conferences. “Year after year, finalists have gained visibility and validation within the information security industry that has catapulted them to new heights. Many past winners and finalists have experienced high growth and increased funding, and we expect the same with this year’s top 10.”

SentinelOne has developed a new approach to endpoint protection that disrupts the current layered approach to security that relies on static anti-virus signatures, white listing and easily detected sandbox systems to combat threats. The company’s execution inspection technology dynamically monitors endpoint processes to detect, predict, block and remove both known attacks and zero-day, advanced malware in real time.

The SentinelOne Suite is a full anti-virus replacement product that unifies endpoint protection across Windows, Mac, Android, and soon Linux, smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), servers (physical and virtual), embedded systems (e.g., PoS), and critical infrastructure (e.g., SCADA).

SentinelOne’s core technology is based on a unique execution inspection engine that analyzes application pro- cesses in real time, combining attack pattern and malware technique modeling with automated crowd-sourced security intelligence aggregation and sharing. SentinelOne automatically stops and removes malware, reduces dwell times, minimizes damages, and eliminates incident response remediation.

“Being selected one of the 10 finalists for the Innovation Sandbox Award is a powerful endorsement for our ability to dynamically monitor and detect malicious processes in real time on the endpoint. This on-device inspection and intelligence enables us to block and remove virtually any malware,” said Tomer Weingarten, CEO of SentinelOne. “Unlike traditional approaches, including sandboxes, which are vulnerable to advanced evasion techniques, SentinelOne traces all processes to detect malware when it executes.”

The “Most Innovative Company at RSA Conference 2015” winner will be determined at the conclusion of Innovation Sandbox Contest, after each finalist gives a short presentation to a panel of judges that includes Asheem Chandna, partner at Greylock Partners; Gerhard Eschelbeck, vice president of security engineering at Google; Renee Guttman, vice president for information risk at Accuvant; Patrick Heim, head of trust and security at DropBox; and Paul Kocher, president of Cryptography Research.
